Disneyland
We were seriously debating going on our annual Disneyland trip this year, but we decided we couldn't bear to miss out and we were SO glad we went! Kamryn did amazing! She did so amazing that we even took her on her first rides! She went on Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story, and Finding Nemo! She even got some Mickey Mouse ears! We had a blast and loved hanging out with the fam. It's always a good time together, especially at the happiest place on earth!!!

Chad blessed Kamryn Conference weekend while his family was in town. Is was such a special day and we loved having all our family there to support us. She cried through the entire thing and then fell fast asleep as soon as it ended. Go figure! She was so beautiful though.

Happy Days... or Moments!
I just think these are cute and some of the moments when we're smiles instead of tears! I love to get her dressed in all the cute outfits and accessories we have for her! She is still too small for a lot of it, but I don't care! And I swear she's not supposed to be able to lift her head like she does! That's crazy to me. I drink a lot of milk, so that must be it! Haha! We love the baby carrier too. Well, Chad does at least. It still kinda scares me, but he walks all around the house with her in it and she loves to look up at everything so that's another thing that prevents the crying for a little bit. Chad's a big help when it comes to making her stop crying. She gets all stressed out a lot of times when I'm trying to calm her down. They say it's because moms smell like milk so it makes babies instinctivley want to eat even if they're not hungry. So Chad can calm her down instantly most of the time. I think it's the milk thing, but he swears he's just got the touch. That could be it too... or at least he can think that! She does love her daddy though! That's for sure!
Bath time!
I was nervous to give Kamryn a bath so this isn't her first bath, but one of the many! They say only bathe your baby like twice a week, but ya right! Bath time has proven to be one of our favorite times! She loves it! She gets really fussy, I mean REALLY fussy, later in the evening, so I like to give her a bath at night just to at least stop the crying for a little bit. Doesn't help the overall fuss fests though. She still won't fall asleep until late, but I'm not complaining. I think it could be a lot worse. I'm almost getting to the point where I want to put her to bed and let her cry it out until she fallls asleep. Not there yet though. I let her cry one night for an hour and felt like it was child abuse! Now I'll wait 15 minutes and go get her. I love to rock her, and sing to her, and cuddle with her! The best is when I'm burping her and she just falls asleep on my shoulder! I'll just leave her there until she wakes back up! I can't help myself! The books tell you not to do those things, so hopefully I'm not doing damage by not "training" her enough... WHATEVER! We do what we want! My mom wants to ring my neck whenever I tell her about something I've read in a book and stress about if I'm doing something "right" or not. She says we've been blessed with motherly intuition so USE IT cause you can't get that from a book! I think that's good advise. Love Ya Mom!!!

Don't be embarrassed if you shed a tear or two when you look at these! Does it get more precious that this! Our biggest and best news of all, is Kamryn finally made it here January 18th at 6:53 am, 8.1 lbs and 21 inches long! Her long awaited arrival proved to be worth the wait! I went into labor Friday night, went to the hospital Saturday night with contractions 5 mins apart and they wanted to send me home because I still wasn't dilating! I could have killed those nurses! I begged to talk to the Dr. because by then I was in SO MUCH PAIN and couldn't imagine sitting at home in that kind of pain all through the weekend. They offered my a shot of morphine and I was on my way out when in walked the Dr! I could have kissed him! He broke my water, (the most awkward feeling ever), and I had my epidural a half hour later (heaven send). Labor still lasted ALL NIGHT and she was finally ready to make her apperance early Sunday morning. She sure did take her time, that's for sure! I was pregnant 41 weeks and in labor almost an entire weekend! She came into this world surrounded in love and adoration. My entire family was there when she made it here which made it an exciting experience for all of us. She was perfectly healthy with the exception of a bad rash and abnormally alert. She took to Chad right away and he to her. I was more awkward with her than he was at first and he changed more diapers than me! He loved being part of the delivery and was even man enough to cut the cord which he wasn't so sure about at first! My mom was in heaven, Bertie in awe, my dad fell in love, Brad wasn't quite sure, and Jeff and Amber's family excited. It was done and now we have a daughter. The next few weeks would prove to be... different than we expected, but worth it all the way! We love her so much!
She is already growing so much! I feel like we missed the newborn stage with her! Even taking these pictures, the photographer said she looks and acts more like a 2 month old that a 1 week old! She holds her head up and is way strong! Compared to our friends' babies, she seems so much bigger too! I think she just overcooked a little! She is a good baby though, we just need to figure out how to get her sleeping better... and are open for suggestions! Good luck to all the other new moms too!
