Mexico / 2 Year Anniversary

So it's been awhile since my last post, but we've been busy. We just got back from Mexico celebrating our 2 year anniversary. Having never been out of the country, I didn't know what to expect, but our trip was amazing and we are already wanting to go back...

Our hotel was amazing...































On the first day we went on a jungle tour around the lagoon and then to a national reserve for some snorkeling. We both thought we were going to die, due to the old school boat that we were driving and the waves were super choppy. We were literally in the middle of the ocean driving this little boat!















After the boat/snorkeling/jungle adventure we went and walked around at the Isla Visa mall that was right next to our hotel...
















The next day we took a boat to Isla Mueres, which is a small island located just off the coast of Cancun.




We went kayaking, took a bike tour around the island, and then took a taxi to downtown for some exploring...

We went and saw The Fray preform last night @ Usana. Amber made it happen and invited us along for the ride...

Silver Lake

I went fishing up @ Silver Lake over the weekend with my buddie Steve. I ended up catching two rainbow trout, but nothing big enough to take home for dinner...

I had so much fun that I took Kim up there the following day...

She even attempted to fish for a few minutes...














While we both came home empty handed, it was a nice way to spend a warm summer evening...














Hopefully we can work on our fishing game and have more success next time:)

Happy Pioneer Day Everyone

Growing up in California I never celebrated July 24th (better known as Pioneer Day in Utah), but being that my wife Kim already had the day off and my buddies had an 8:20am tee time at Fox Hollow, I couldn't think of a better reason to take the day off and celebrate. I started my day golfing with the boys, only to lose to Jesse Carter by 2 strokes on the last hole. Brent and Brett tied as they always do. Kim went out to lunch with her girls....

We finished the night out over @ Charlie's house in Springville. Happy 24th everyone...I guess I will have to start making this holiday a tradition :)



Oh and over the weekend Carter, Charlie, Mayo, and myself went to see BNTH. Here's some pics boys...enjoy.

So I took a long break from this blogging thing, but I am back at it. Where do I start!Well the big news in our lives is that Kim is pregnant!!! We couldn't be happier and are excited about the new addition to our family. Her due date is on March 17th (St. Patrick's Day) and she is the cutest pregnant woman I has ever seen. So what if I am a little bias, she's my sweetheart. We are going to Cancun in a couple of weeks for our 2 year anniversary. I have never been out of the country so I am pumped and look forward to doing nothing for 7 days. I've decided that before I become a dad, that it's time to take care of me first. So I've started playing basketball with Jeff @ 6am MWF. It's hard to get out of bed, but I can see results already, and remember now why I love the game of basketball. So far Kim's symptoms of being pregnant are pretty minimal, other than she is tired all of the time. She has been good about eating right and exercising, but she already wants to buy baby clothes! Anyways, we're doing good and hope all of our families and friends are doing the same. We miss you!!! Until next time...this is Chad and Kim signing off.
